Phillips flat head self drilling screws are made of zinc plated steel and have a sheet metal thread with a self driller cutting (TEK) point to pierce through 20 to 14 gauge metals. The higher the TEK number the larger the drill point to pierce heavier gauge metals. The heads use a Phillips driver. These screws are used in the exterior elements. Zinc Plated Steel Phillips Flat Head TEK Screws feature a countersunk head that runs flush with the installation surface. TEK screws have a self drilling point to aid in the installation of these screws into harder materials.
