The Opal Cleaning Kit is designed for routine maintenance on the GE Profile Opal Nugget Ice Maker. Regular use of this cleaning kit will remove internal and external scale (mineral & calcium build-up) and keep your ice tasting fresh! We recommend using the cleaning kit every 6 months, or sooner depending on your water conditions. The cleaning solution is nearly odorless and is more effective than other at-home solutions. The Kit includes one 5 ounce cleaning solution bottle and cleaning sponge. Keeping the Opal ice maker and side tank accessory clean ensures you have plenty of fresh tasting ice. The Opal ice maker will indicate when it is time to clean the unit using the display ring around the round button on the front. When the display ring is solid yellow, it is ready to be cleaned.
